The world is out and about again after such a long time! We know how excited some of you are to start delving deep into the lush forests again, so we've compiled some tips on how you can both have fun and still be respectable towards the environment.
With a little planning ahead, you can be better guests for nature by reducing your waste significantly
1. Bring your large reusable water bottle
Packing a large reusable filled water bottle. You might also want to consider a water filter, in case you camp alongside the river and you can use it to filter your water.
2. Pre-plan your food
For bread and other pastries, buy them directly from a bakery and use a reusable bread bag. For snacks, go to a bulk shop and stock up on nuts, seeds and granola, mix them to make your own snacks and package them in small silicone bags. Sometime you’ll find pasta, spices, or any other food that you can buy in a bulk with eco-friendly packaging as well.
3. Bring your own plates, cups, and utentils.
Please don't take single-use plastic items with you when you camp. Use reusable ones, there are plenty ones you can find either in outdoor stores or online shops.
4. Toiletries
You can change your liquid shampoo into shampoo bar, or use travel bottle and filled your inhouse liquid shampoo and soap. Bring unbleached toilet paper, and when you pee, throw some water over it until it dissolves.
5. Contain your waste
To make sure you don't leave anything behind, prepare bags or containers to bring back your waste. On that note, you can re-use your non-recyclable food packagings to contain your waste.
